Wickford CLC is now available to hire for children's birthday parties. We have arranged some great discounted rates with Ziggy Zoo and other Entertainers. The Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts (PQA) - learn to act in comedy and drama, have a go at mime and stage combat, devise your own musical or perform in one of your favourites, make your own TV show, movie or pop video. Wickford Town Youth FC are looking for new players to join the U14's team. They are an established successful team in a local club, that have had players progress and so now have some spaces for new players. They play in the Southend League A Division and train on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings. New Toddler group on the Wick!

Little Sparks is a new toddler group run by New Life Church in partnership with Wickford Children's Centre. The group starts on 21st September and will meet from 9.15am to 10.45am on Wednesday mornings at The Wick Community Centre, Salcott Crescent. For more information telephone 01268 761757.

Free School meals - Are you getting your entitlement?

Are you in receipt of income support, income-based job seekers allowance, income-related employment and support allowance, child tax credits (with an annual income of less than £16,190) or guaranteed element of state pension credit? If so, your child may be entitled to free school meals (FSM). In addition to receiving a daily healthy meal at school (sandwiches and cold food are on offer at most schools for those children who prefer this to a hot meal). Registering your entitlement to FSM can also release additional funds into your child's school to enable them to provide additional support for your family. Click here to apply online.

FREE Adult Learning courses available at Wickford Library

Free adult learning courses are now available on Wednesday afternoons at Wickford Library. Courses are suitable for those who wish to brush up their maths and/or literacy skills and are held in a relaxed, friendly and supportive atmosphere.
